The 22-member team, runners-up in the 2010 National Juniors Football Championship, will compete against 16 teams from neighbouring countries series of round robin games.
"It will be the first time that we compete in a tournament abroad. The festival is a good opportunity for our players to exchange their football skills with players from other countries," Tien said. "The team is currently training hard in preparation for the seven-day festival."
"Playing at an international football event is a great chance for me to compete against other teams. I hope to score at least one goal to mark my first international match," centre's midfielder Le Tien Anh said.
The team coaching board recruited only the very best players selected from a group of 60 juniors, who are currently undergoing training at the Viettel Football Centre in Ha Noi. — VNS
